Compare the real trips and maintenance involved in each address as well as the prices.
Walk from the flat to somewhere you would use
Use the centre or the river as an orientation point and walk the actual route from the building to a daily destination. Check street noise, steps, parking and lift access. Ask for shared charges and planned works before comparing the flat with a village house.
If you are viewing several apartments, schedule them far enough apart to see what the street feels like at different times. Record whether there is somewhere to store a bicycle, suitcases or equipment, and who maintains the common areas.
Give a rural address its own trip
For a village shortlist, visit Cherven or Katselovo with the specific property pin and allow time for the final approach. Cherven’s fortress is a reference point for a visitor, but the access to an individual house or plot needs its own check. At Katselovo, think through gate width and delivery turning space if you plan repairs.
